Welcome to the 2016-17 Season of the Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra!

Dear Friends,

We’re excited to announce the launch of WHCO's 2nd season!  This year we’re presenting 9 free concerts and several special events that you won’t want to miss!

Our 2016-17 season features the orchestra and intimate chamber ensembles, such as our string sextet program in October, all made up of outstanding local professional musicians from our community. Additionally this year, we're introducing our new Spotlight Series – recital programs featuring our incredible orchestra members as soloists. Whether you're a first time concert-goer or a seasoned classical music listener, we hope these concerts delight and inspire you!

We're proud to be back for a second year, and we’re grateful for your support which makes our programming possible.  If you haven’t yet done so, take a look at our Friends of WHCO donor benefit program, and consider joining us in our work of sharing high quality, transformative musical experiences with everyone in our community.

If you join or renew as Friend at the $50 level or more before September 15th we’ll include 2 tickets to our December 17th Christmas Jazz Fundraiser!  Proceeds from this concert go to our educational initiative, bringing small ensembles from the orchestra to perform and present in our area schools.

Explore all we have lined up, and I'll see you at our opening concert on September 24th
Sincerely,

Chris Whittaker
Music Director
