What to Expect

What to Wear: WHCO is a neighborhood concert-going experience and we wish you to come as you are! No fancy dress required.
When to arrive: Our concert hall can get quite full and seating is general admission, so it is recommended that you arrive 15-20 minutes before the concert begins.
If You're Late: We understand that transportation in New York can be hectic - especially on the weekends. Even if you know you will arrive late, you will always be welcome! However, in order to create a more enjoyable concert-going experience for the audience and orchestra members, if you arrive late an usher will seat you between movements. Until then, you are requested to listen from the entry. Thank you for your consideration.
When to Clap: Applause at classical music performances is traditionally more than welcome at the conclusion of the work. If you are unsure about when you should applaud or participate in a performance, a good rule of thumb is to follow the lead of other audience members.
